Last year the Arrowhead Student Council received a Blue Ribbon Excellence Award from the National Association of Elementary School Principals for their work with citizenship and community service.
Team building day is held at Woodland School each fall so that the student council officers and reps have the opportunity to use the outdoor initiatives course under the supervision of Mr. Naylor, Mr. Ruminski, Mrs. Goldfarb, and Mrs. Vallerio. In using this course student council members have an opportunity to: increase trust, build self-confidence, promote appropriate risk taking and increase decision making and problem solving skills.
